Truck pulled from Cedar Creek
The Columbia Falls Fire Department, Columbia Falls Police Department, and Flathead County Office of Emergency Services responded to Cedar Creek, near mile marker 3 on the North Fork Road, after a pickup owned by the city's Public Works Department rolled down an embankment into the water about 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The driver - a Columbia Falls city employee checking the flow on Cedar Creek Dam, which controls the water level in an unused water supply reservoir - apparently forgot to take the truck out of gear.
The driver was neither ticketed nor injured, said Columbia Falls police Chief Dave Perry.
The truck, which was submerged, was towed from the water after a diver attached a tow cable.
Flathead County sheriff
Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to Angel Point Road after a 52-year-old man allegedly beat up his girlfriend. The man was arrested on suspicion of partner assault and tampering with a communications device, both misdemeanors.
Someone broke into a building on Blenn Street in Bigfork.
Deputies responded to disturbances on Holt Drive in Bigfork and Meadow Lake Drive near Columbia Falls.
Unsafe shooting was reported on Willow Glen Drive. Deputies were unable to find anything criminal.
Deputies were asked to remove an unwelcome person from a residence on Somerset Drive.
State game officials went looking for some dirt bikes near Cliff Lake, an area in which they weren't supposed to be.
Someone shining a spotlight on Conn Road was reported as a possible poacher after shots were heard. Deputies were unable to find anything suspicious.
A purse was stolen from a car on Dawn Drive. Vehicles outside at least two residences on Riley Lane were rifled through.
A hole from a BB was found in the window of a Hodgson Road residence.
Deputies separated a man and woman arguing on First Avenue West in Martin City. The woman claimed her boyfriend hit her.
A woman cleaning a home in the Columbia Falls area told deputies a man at the residence made sexually harassing comments and slapped her butt. Then he had the effrontery to call and ask for a lunch date.
Deputies received 122 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Kalispell police
A Pintail Court resident complained about the neighbor throwing pet feces over the fence. Kalispell police counseled both parties involved.
A woman on Fourth Avenue West allegedly threatened to shoot herself and her children, prompting her father-in-law to call police to check on her. Everyone was fine, but the woman later called police to complain that her father-in-law was threatening to shoot her.
A man evicted from a Sixth Avenue East residence last week returned to work on a car in the garage. Police asked him to leave.
A woman on Teton Street asked for extra patrols in her neighborhood after she received a strange call from a telemarketer.
Officers responded to Seventh Avenue West after a man and woman got into an argument. She left.
Golf clubs were stolen from a vehicle on Sixth Street East.
Tires on a car parked near Second Avenue West were flattened.
Officers gave a confused, elderly man a ride home after a traffic stop on Second Street East.
Young children found wandering on Ponderosa Street and in the parking lot of a store on U.S. 93 North were returned to their parents.

Whitefish police received 30 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Columbia Falls police
Columbia Falls police responded to a home on Second Avenue East after a 45-year-old woman allegedly punched her neighbor. She was ticketed with misdemeanor assault.
An intoxicated 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, resisting arrest, possession of alcohol, trespass, and criminal mischief on Fourth Avenue West. He allegedly broke a window, let himself inside, attempted to go to sleep, and then hit a resident in the head when confronted.
An iPod was stolen from a vehicle on Diane Road.
Officers responded to a fight behind a convenience store on Ninth Street West.
Officers received 21 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Alarms
The Kalispell Fire Department responded to what was reported as a possible chimney fire on Quincy Loop. The department also responded to reports of open flames near Begg Park. It was a controlled burn.
The Kalispell and Creston fire departments responded to a rollover crash on Montana 35 near Lake Blaine. The driver was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
The Kalispell Fire Department, Creston Fire Department, and Evergreen Fire Department were paged out to a two-car crash at the intersection of Montana 35 and Montana 206. At least one person, who had difficulty breathing, was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. A dog involved in the crash was taken to the county animal shelter.
The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to a fire in a Dumpster on Kila Road.
The Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to a fire on some railroad property off Meadow Lake Boulevard.
