LIBBY - Ariel Johnson had eight kills, eight blocks and eight digs as the Flathead Bravettes defeated host Libby 25-16, 25-23, 25-20 in nonconference volleyball action on Thursday night.

"I think we're kind of getting back in a little bit of a rhythm. I think we did a good job tonight," said Flathead coach Leon Wilcox.

"We had some individuals who had very good nights. Ariel (Johnson) played exceptionally well," he added.

He also complimented the efforts of Hana Burton (six kills).

"Hana also had a very good night. Between her and Ariel, they only had one hitting error," Wilcox said.

"Not a good performance on our part," said Libby coach Cindy Ostrem-Johnston. "We were right with (Flathead) in a couple games. But then, (the Loggers) got mad at themselves and took themselves out of the game."

Libby trailed Flathead 8-3 in the first game, but rallied to tie it at 11-all, and then 20-all.

"They had some runs, but you can't check in and check out when you're playing a solid team," Ostrem-Johnston said.

Jackie Mee led Libby (6-2, 6-1) with 15 kills, nine digs and two aces.
