Florene E. 'Liz' Slemberger, 86

Florene E. "Liz" Slemberger, 86, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at Brendan House in Kalispell. She was born Jan. 6, 1922, in Klein, Mont., to William and Jennie (Leslie) Dunn.

After graduation from Klein High School, Liz attended Commercial College in Great Falls. It was there she met her husband, Henry Slemberger. Liz and Hank were married on July 30, 1940, at St. Ann's Cathedral in Great Falls. They had three daughters.

After living in Great Falls for 65 years, they moved to Kalispell to be near family. Liz will be remembered for her sense of humor, love of family and zest for life.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her eight brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Hank Slemberger, of Kalispell; her three daughters, Judy Fraser and husband, Glenn, of Kalispell, Carole Nelson and husband, Norman, of Tucson, Ariz., and Jennie Jenks of Olympia, Wash.; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family suggests memorials be given to Hospice, Home Options, 175 Commons Loop, Suite 100, Kalispell, MT 59901.
