Donald leads tourney

Gaylene Donald, 14-time Labor Day Golf Tournament champion, made her move on Sunday, turning in a 75 to vault into first place from third at Buffalo Hill Golf Club.

Donald's two-day total is 162. That gives her a 7-stroke lead over Saturday's leader, Karli Aurich of Kalispell.

Aurich, a member of the Glacier High golf team, is tied for second place, with a two-day total of 169.

Kalispell's Debbie Boreson shot a 77 on Sunday and moved from fifth to a second place tie. Katelyn Inlow of Calgary and Vicki Weishaar of Polson round out the top five with with scores of 174 and 179.

Defending men's champion Larry Iverson of Kalispell maintained his 3-shot lead over Jordan Alford of Calgary.

Iverson, a Glacier High senior, shot a one-over-par 73 on Sunday. His two-day total is 139. Alford also shot a 73 and has a two-day total of 142.

Kalispell's Grahm Schmaltz is third at 144 while Calgary golfers Scott Desmarais and Cameron Dunning and Kalispell's Logan Lindholm share fourth place with two-day totals of 145.

The 54-hole tournament concludes today.
