Richard R. 'Rik' Berg, 56

Richard R. "Rik" Berg, 56, passed away on Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell. Rik was born on Dec. 10, 1951, in Bozeman, to Richard A. and Shirley Foreman Berg. He was raised in Great Falls, where he attended high school.

He received his bachelor's degree from a college in Billings.

He married Elaine Osterday on Aug. 29, 2007, in Great Falls.

He was working as the facility manager for the Wilderness Treatment Center in Marion. His main interest in life was helping others to enjoy everything in their lives.

Rik was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine; his father, Richard A. Berg; two sons, Dustin and Travis Berg; stepdaughters, Lacie Cates, Karen Winegar and Samantha Burns; brothers, Kevin and Kris Berg; one sister, Melodie; and grandchildren, Madison Rhylee Berg, Gavin Ace Berg, Alexia, Braeden and Alaina.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Wilderness Treatment Center in Marion.
