Flathead County sheriff

Someone called the Flathead County Sheriff's Office when a 55-year-old man began choking on a diaphragm elk call. He dislodged it before help arrived.

A pushy loan peddler was reported as a possible scam artist.

Three women and a man reportedly got into a fight in a Mexican restaurant parking lot. No one was arrested.

Deputies arrested one intoxicated man on suspicion of partner assault after he allegedly beat up his girlfriend.

A Rose Crossing resident is fed up with the youths who keep calling the house and their parents, who reportedly refuse to do anything about it.

The intoxicated man in the middle of the road asked whether he could sleep in the bushes instead.

Another intoxicated man in the road was given a ride home. A few hours later, he allegedly caused a disturbance at a grocery store and was arrested.

An Addison Square resident reported a burglary that may have occurred in July and may not have resulted in any missing items.

Kalispell police

A caller observed four boys throw something at a neighbor's house and then try to open car doors on Ashley Drive. When a Kalispell police officer questioned the boys, they denied the accusations. They were turned over to their parents.

Two unlocked bikes were stolen from a yard on Farview Drive.

Police arrested a 47-year-old woman on suspicion of drunken driving and warrants. A 28-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI and driving without insurance.

It was nine-on-one in the brawl that reportedly took place in a bar parking lot shortly after midnight Saturday. The alleged assailants were gone when officers arrived, and the victim didn't want to pursue charges - though he said he might change his mind when he was sober.

A caller tried unsuccessfully to rouse the woman passed out in a car in a fast-food restaurant parking lot. An officer gave her a ride home.

A man entered a store, doubled over in pain, and asked for a ride to the hospital. An officer drove him to the emergency room.

While busting a party of underage drinkers, police arrested a girl on suspicion of minor in possession of alcohol and a man on a warrant.

A satellite radio was lifted from an unlocked vehicle on Second Avenue West. A CD player and radio were taken from an unlocked car on Fifth Avenue West.

While investigating a possible domestic disturbance on Seventh Avenue West, police arrested a woman on a warrant.

A caller didn't know whether it was abuse or not, but a man had been holding a woman's arm for the past 10 minutes. She didn't appear to be in distress and wasn't screaming. The man did go to jail; he was arrested on a warrant.

Police received 100 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police are investigating a theft that took place at a Martha Road residence.

A 45-year-old man returned with a bang to a bar he'd been asked to leave - he reportedly kicked in the door. He was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

A bike was stolen on Eddy Court.

Officers arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of his second drunken-driving charge. A 49-year-old woman also was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Officers received 30 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 39 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

A driver spilled gasoline at a West Idaho Street gas station, and one person was concerned that his pregnant wife might have inhaled the fumes. Kalispell Fire Department took care of the puddle.

Someone was injured in a four-foot fall from a loft bed on Kalispell Avenue in Whitefish. Whitefish ambulance took the person to North Valley Hospital.
