Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing Gresko's Bakery in Kalispell on Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to the bakery and deli, located in the 600 block of East Idaho Street, about 4:15 p.m. Friday after a man robbed an employee and fled with an unknown amount of money from the cash register, Kalispell Police Detective Tim Falkner said.

It also is unknown whether the man had a weapon.

The suspect, who approached a lone employee and demanded cash, is described as heavy-set and in his 20s with reddish facial hair.

Employees believe the suspect may have been in the deli casing it several days prior to the robbery, Falkner said.

There was one other customer in the store when the robbery occurred.

Officers were given a vehicle description but the car belonged to another customer, not the suspect, and investigators don't know how the robber got away.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Kalispell Police Department at 758-7780.
