A woman reported seeing bright lights in the sky near Foy's Lake - but it wasn't otherworldly visitors. She probably saw the gleam from an Alcohol Enforcement Team member's flashlight; the team and a pair of uniformed Flathead County Sheriff's deputies were on scene breaking up an underage drinking party. Numerous kids received MIPs.

One girl, who reportedly nearly ran over three deputies who had tried to prevent her from driving away from the party, was ticketed on suspicion of driving under the influence and assaulting a peace officer in addition to her MIP. She was taken to the juvenile detention center.

Money that hadn't been paid led to a dispute at a boat business on U.S. 2. The parties involved sorted it out themselves.

A 32-year-old woman who has been staying in her mother's garage allegedly broke the window out of her mother's camper trying to get to a bathroom.

A 20-year-old woman was arrested at a box store for allegedly trying to steal $30 worth of cosmetics. A 14-year-old boy and a man were ticketed on suspicion of shoplifting in other incidents.

Brawling brothers caused a disturbance in a mobile home park on U.S. 93.

A caller, who said her mother had been mugged two weeks earlier, was nervous after she heard a noise outside.

Kalispell police

The people fighting in a high-school parking lot were wearing boxing gloves, but Kalispell police told them to move along.

A man said his wife had received a threatening message from a caller on a cell phone. In a separate incident, a woman complained that her ex won't stop calling and harassing her.

A neighbor complained about a decaying deer on a Fourth Avenue West lawn.

Officers weren't able to find the two intoxicated teens spotted trying to break into motel rooms on East Idaho Street.

Someone threw a rock at a building on Fifth Avenue West. Another rock-throwing incident did about $500 in damage when it went through the rear window of a pickup parked on Seventh Avenue West.

Officers arrested four girls in their early teens, all of whom allegedly were intoxicated, at a fast-food restaurant.

A man said he'd been riding in a tow truck with friends when someone made a rude gesture in his direction. When the man went to find out why, the person who'd made the gesture reportedly punched him in the face.

After a couple fought in the back of a restaurant on East Idaho Street, officers arrested the man involved on suspicion of partner assault.

A short while later, a fight was reported outside the same restaurant. Fifteen people allegedly were involved, but only one man was arrested, ticketed on suspicion of obstructing an officer and for outstanding warrants.

Officers arrested the man who'd reportedly been yelling profanities on Fifth Avenue East for disorderly conduct.

Officers received 70 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 27-year-old woman who allegedly tried to steal dishwashing detergent from a store on Nucleus Avenue.

A wallet that disappeared from a vehicle four days ago reappeared Friday in Hungry Horse.

Officers received 37 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 53 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
