A passer-by called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies after spotting someone on Montana 35 in Bigfork who matched the description of the man wanted for robbing a Kalispell deli on Friday.

Deputies responded, but the man in question wasn't the suspect.

After questioning a group of men hanging around in the parking lot of a sporting-goods store in Evergreen, deputies determined they weren't up to anything illegal.

Deputies were also called to check on a suspicious cyclist on Montana 35 in Evergreen.

Employees of a stone supply business on Whitefish Stage Road reported receiving threatening phone messages.

Someone vandalized a coffee kiosk on U.S. 2 in Evergreen. In other acts of property destruction, graffiti was found near the bike path along U.S. 2 west of Kalispell.

A Whalebone Drive resident came into the Sheriff's Office to report stolen identity.

A Navy plane flying near Bad Rock Canyon looked to a passer-by like it was smoking and in trouble. It turns out, however, there was nothing wrong with the plane.

Two people on dirt bikes were reported for trespassing on an East Cottonwood Drive resident's property.

The door to a building on Star Meadows Road was broken into, but nothing inside appeared missing or disturbed.

Deputies were called to break up disturbances on Badger Hollow Trail in Marion and at a bar on Montana 35 in Evergreen.

Deputies received 113 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Kalispell police

A Fifth Avenue East woman told Kalispell police her daughter threw a cup of hot coffee at her husband. Yelling and screaming also was part of the disturbance Sunday morning. Family members were separated for the rest of the day.

A driver with a handicapped parking placard stopped to give a man a ride. But, after a disagreement in which the passenger was asked to get out of the vehicle, the man took the placard and fled.

Two iPods were stolen from a vehicle on Vanderbilt Drive.

A man and his girlfriend were involved in a crash. While at the emergency room, the woman's father allegedly threatened the boyfriend. No one, however, elected to press charges.

Officers arrested a man on outstanding warrants from the Kalispell Police Department and Montana Highway Patrol during a traffic stop on Fourth Avenue East North.

Prescription pain medication was reported stolen on Third Avenue West North. A couch and other items were reported stolen from a thrift store on U.S. 93 South.

A man ordered food worth $12.25 from a casino on West Idaho Street, but then told servers he forgot his credit card. He never returned to pay.

Two men at Woodland Park shoving each other over a disagreement about a skateboard were separated.

Shoplifters were arrested at an East Idaho Street grocery store on two separate occasions Sunday and Monday. Officers also bagged a shoplifter at an accessories store in a Center Street mall.

Officers received 64 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Whitefish police received 29 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 19-year-old woman on a city court warrant for contempt of court.

Someone threw rocks at the windows of a vehicle parked on Seventh Street East North, breaking two.

Officers received 23 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Alarms

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to a crash on Northwoods Drive.

Someone on Rufenach Lane smelled the odor of natural gas and called the West Valley Fire Department.
