Valerie Ann Sieler, 62, of Lewistown, "went home to her loving Father in heaven" on April 5, 2009, at the Central Montana Skilled Nursing Center. She was born Oct. 24, 1946, to Rosalyn June (Beam) Knadler and Edwin Stanley Knadler. She was born in Bozeman and attended elementary school in Columbia Falls and Somers, and high school in Kalispell and Hamilton.

It was at Flathead High that she met her true love, Paul E. "Joe" Sieler. Val and Joe married on Oct. 24, 1963, in Salmon, Idaho. They then graduated high school together at Hamilton High in 1964. Val was sealed to Joe for time and all eternity on Dec. 8, 1973, in the Cardston, Alberta, Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

After their marriage, Joe and Val lived in Somers for a year, then moved to the Thompson River Valley and worked on a ranch. It was at this time that they started their family. Val worked alongside Joe farming, ranching, and at the same time raising her family. In 1977, the family moved to a ranch near Eureka where Val continued her noble efforts as a wife, mother and homemaker. She was grief-stricken at Joe's death in 1991 but continued to provide for the children who were still at home.

In 1995, Val moved to the Lewistown area and fell in love with it. She lived for some time in Roy, then moved to Glengarry in 2007.

Val was a devoted wife, mother and friend. Her children were of the greatest importance to her and she was constantly concerned about them. She enjoyed serving in the Church and held many church callings throughout her life. She also loved to spend time outdoors and found great satisfaction in tending her flowers and yard, as well as taking walks with her good friend, Caryle.

Val is survived by her "Dad" and mother, Pat and Rose Wood, of Sheridan; her brother, Ed Knadler, and wife, Bonnie, of Manhattan; brother, Dave Knadler, and wife, Theresa, of Wichita, Kan.; brother, Mike Knadler, of Canyon City, Ore.; brother, John Knadler, of Kalispell; brother, Chuck Wood of Sheridan, sister, Becca Wood, of Dillon, sister, Debi Rose, of Dillon; sister, Patty Pinson, of Trinity, Texas; and sister, Jeanie Larson of Eureka. Val is also survived by her daughter, Gale, and husband, Jim Ferguson, of Cascade; daughter, Dixie, and husband, Brian Linnell, of Eureka; daughter, Josie, and husband, Barry Lochridge, of Dillon; son, Joel, and wife, Genny Sieler, of Eureka; daughter, Daisy, and husband, Josh Baker, of Kalispell; son, Mike, and wife, Juanita Sieler, of Lewistown; daughter, Ellena, and husband, Jon Knoll, of Kalispell; son, Matthew, and wife, Faith Sieler, of Eureka; and daughter, Alice Sieler, of Lewistown.
