A Ridgewood Drive man told Flathead County Sheriff's deputies his wife threatened to stab him Sunday night with a shard of mirror. Deputies responded and separated the couple for the evening.

Someone uprooted and then stole an address marker on Turtle Mountain Road.

A bald eagle was found dead with its head and legs removed under power lines between Columbia Falls and Hungry Horse.

The door to a home on Deer Creek Road in Lakeside was kicked in. In what were reported as attempted burglaries, a boy took off on foot after allegedly trying to break into an Evergreen motor home and a Sleepy Hollow Road resident called deputies after someone wiggled the doorknob six or seven times.

Deputies counseled a woman and her 14-year-old daughter arguing at a business on U.S. 93 South. The daughter allegedly took the car then refused to return the keys and a cell phone.

During a conversation in near Columbia Falls, a man reportedly told another man he had 100 pounds of nitro buried in his yard.

Two men yelling at each other outside a Shady Lane residence were sent on their way.

A woman on Airport Road told Kalispell police intoxicated people were "freaking out on her." Officers investigating the complaint ended up arresting a man for possession of drug paraphernalia and alcohol.

Graffiti was found on grain silos off West Center Street. Someone spraypainted over the license plate of a truck parked on Fifth Avenue West.

Someone stole a skateboard from the enclosed front porch of a Second Avenue East residence.

Someone in a group of about 10 kids threw a plastic soda bottle at a woman walking her dog in Woodland Park.

A man who spent a suspiciously long time looking at a "For Sale" sign in the yard of a Teal Drive residence was gone when officers arrived.

Police were unable to find two people allegedly vandalizing mailboxes and fences in the area of Eighth Avenue West and 10th Street.

A single shot was heard on First Avenue East North. One person suspected the group of kids down the street playing music loudly.

Officers are conducting extra patrols in the Four Mile Drive area. Someone apparently is urinating and defecating behind buildings at night.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 30-year-old man for driving without insurance and on a suspended license during a traffic stop on Karrow Avenue.

Alarms

Two were taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center after an accident involving a horse on Lost Creek Drive. The Kalispell Fire Department and West Valley Fire Department responded.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department was paged to a Karen Road residence after it filled with smoke. Firefighters quickly cleared the scene.

Three Rivers EMS took an elderly man injured after his car jumped the curb at U.S. 2 and Nucleus Avenue to North Valley Hospital.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to Two Bear Trail after a 20-year-old man injured his ankle in a motorcycle crash.

The Smith Valley Fire Department, West Valley Fire Department, and South Kalispell Fire Department were paged out to a grass fire on Caps Road in Kila.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to First Avenue West and Sixth Street after a man was injured in an accident involving a bicycle.
