Lady Pirates pick up Western A softball win

COLUMBIA FALLS - Staci Benson went 3-for-5 and Rochelle Woods and Liz Simshaw had two hits each as Polson rolled to an 11-3 Western A softball victory over Columbia Falls on Thursday.
Polson, 3-0 league and 5-0 overall, scored in every inning but the sixth.
Charlee Jensen went the distance for the Pirates in the circle. She checked the Wildkats on three hits.
Cassidee Skiles went 2-for-3 for Columbia Falls with two doubles.
"We just didn't hit the ball," Columbia Falls coach Dave Kehr said.
"Tuesday we had 15 hits (in a 16-8 win over Whitefish). We go down to three hits today."
"We seemed a little nervous in the box to start with," he said.
