Local tour planned of affordable housing

A bus tour of affordable housing available in the Flathead is planned from noon to 4 p.m. April 25 and 26 during American Home Week.

For $10 a person, anyone interested can join the tour of homes in the Kalispell, Whitefish or Columbia Falls areas. Along the tour, participants can get on and off the bus for house viewings and curb-side showings.

First American Title Co. is sponsoring the tours. A press release said the tours are ideal for first-time homebuyers, with new homes on the tour listing under $225,000. Real-estate agents may bring clients as well.

Buses will board at 11:45 a.m. and return at 4:15 p.m. Reservations must be made by April 21. Limited seating is available and people must be 18 or older to join in the tour.
