Lipizzaner Stallions visit for April 30 show
The Daily Inter Lake
The Lipizzaner Stallions visit the Majestic Valley Arena near Kalispell on April 30 at 7:30 p.m.
The stallions are on their 39th anniversary tour in 2009.
New music, choreography and routines have been incorporated this year, with a major emphasis on the historical background and foundation of the Lipizzaner breed, from its original breeding and use as a horse of war to a horse of nobility and aristocracy to a living form of equestrian art.
Also included in the performance by the 12 to 14 horses is a segment called the "Airs Above the Ground." These are the spectacular leaps and maneuvers, now preserved as an equestrian work of art, once used by riders in saddle to protect and defend themselves on the battlefield.
Tickets for the Lipizzaner Stallions are $22.50 for adults, and $20.50 for ages 12 and under and over 60. Gold Circle seats are available at $26.50.
Tickets are available at the Majestic Valley Arena box office and Murdoch's.

The show emulates the Spanish Riding School of Vienna, Austria.
