COLUMBIA FALLS - Morgan Rowe checked Libby on three hits and fanned six Loggers en route to a 5-0 victory on Tuesday in Western A softball play.

Rowe helped her cause by going 1-for-3 hitting.

It was Columbia Falls' first win over Libby in two years.

"Again, she did a great job," Columbia Falls coach Dave Kehr said of Rowe. "Her control was good, she kept them off balance. They're a good hitting team."

Columbia Falls had seven hits in the contest, five coming in the third inning when it scored four times.

Renae Nelson had a great bunt in that inning and Tia Yaeger, Amanda Milliard, Kayla Stinger and Rowe all singled.

Libby's Nicky Lapka, 2-for-3, had the lone extra base hit in the game - a double.

Columbia Falls, 3-1, and Libby are back in action Friday and Saturday at the Frenchtown Invitational.
