Virginia 'Ginny' Crook, 77

Virginia "Ginny" Crook, 77, died April 15, 2009, peacefully at her home. She was born in Somers to Cynthia and Arthur Richmond.

She graduated from high school in Kalispell, where she met Robert "Bob" Crook. They were married in 1951 in Honolulu, where Bob was stationed in the Navy during the Korean War.

When Bob was discharged from the Navy in 1955, they moved to Oregon. There, Bob beganworking at KOAC-TV and Radio, and Ginny worked at Oregon State University health department, retiring in 1995.Bob died in 1987.

Ginny, "Mom, Grandma and friend," was a wonderful person. She was always a delightful spirit - she had a great sense of humor and a quick wit with a big smile (one of the best, none better). "She is goinghome to Bob 'Dad' - God bless you and love youboth."

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob; her mother and father; three sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by one sister, Louise Mackey, also affectionately known as "Aunt Weirdo," of Kalispell; brothers, Russ Richmond ofYpsilanti, Mich., and FrankRichmond of Hawthorne, Calif.; son, Steve, and wife, Terri Crook, of Philomath, Ore.; daughter, Linda Crook, of Corvallis, Ore.; daughter, Sherri, and husband, Mike Gish, of Dallas, Ore.; four grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be missed.
