Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to a South Cedar Drive residence after a 19-year-old man got into an argument with his aunt and her boyfriend. The altercation, which reportedly began because the man was calling his aunt names and being generally unkind, escalated until he allegedly threatened the couple with a knife. The man's aunt agreed not to press charges if he collected his belongings and left. However, he returned to the residence about an hour later and another disturbance ensued. This time, the man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a weapon, trespass, and disorderly conduct.

A disagreement between a landlord and tenant on East Evergreen Drive involved nothing physical.

Deputies were called to investigate a trespassing complaint on Stoner Creek Road in Lakeside. The resident fears the person coming onto her property might be a Peeping Tom.

A Holt Drive resident was sick of people walking across her lakefront property and filed a trespassing report.

A worker recently fired from a Columbia Falls-area business allegedly threatened his former employer.

Something put a 2-inch hole in the double-paned bay window of a Harmony Road residence.

A man who came into a Bigfork bowling alley and then passed out on the bar was asked to leave after he woke up.

Deputies were called to assist the Montana Highway Patrol on a traffic stop in Evergreen. The 46-year-old driver, who put up a fight during his arrest and needed medical attention for a cut on his head, eventually was taken into custody on suspicion of several charges - including DUI, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, contempt of court, driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance, and resisting arrest.

The man standing out in the intersection of U.S. 2 and Montana 35, yelling at passing cars, was gone when deputies arrived.

A Collier Lane woman with questions for deputies was told to quit calling 911 and use the nonemergency phone line or face arrest.

A passer-by told Kalispell police a man was defecating in the middle of Woodland Park. Responding officers ticketed two men on suspicion of disorderly conduct and violating park rules.

When a man wanted on a warrant was spotted gambling at a casino on U.S. 93 South, he jumped in a car and drove away.

Two boys reportedly were skateboarding on the roof of a building off U.S. 93 South.

Officers arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of obstructing police and disorderly conduct while responding to a disturbance at a fitness club on U.S. 93 North.

Police received a call from a woman in Washington state. She wanted to report that the front window on her father's Fifth Avenue West home had been broken out.

A man who got into a fight Wednesday at Woodland Park now wants to press charges.

Someone broke through a door on Fourth Avenue East, but nothing appears to be missing.

A dirt bike was reported stolen on First Avenue East.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 29-year-old woman on a warrant for contempt of court during a traffic stop outside a convenience store on U.S. 93. She also reportedly was using an invalid license to drive.

A 41-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI and driving without insurance during a traffic stop on U.S. 93 South.

Officers received 45 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 17 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alarms

The South Kalispell Fire Department extinguished a grass fire on Caroline Road. Deputies were called to investigate the fire's suspicious origins.

The Whitefish Fire Department and Olney Fire Department extinguished a fire in a garage off U.S. 93. The blaze, which climbed up the building's rear wall, reportedly started in a wood-burning stove.

The Bigfork Fire Department and Ferndale Fire Department responded to Montana 83 after a downed power line caught some trees on fire.

The Creston Fire Department was paged to a grass fire on Montana 35, but the homeowner reportedly got it under control before firefighters arrived.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to Montana 40 after a tree branch fell across some power lines, reportedly causing sparking and flames.
