A man hanging around a Lakeside beach made swimmers uncomfortable after reportedly yelling at a woman for taking her dog out onto the sand. He was gone when Flathead County Sheriff's deputies arrived.

A man threatened to "race" his ex-wife to pick up their young daughter from the baby sitter's Evergreen home. Apparently the former couple are in a custody dispute.

Video games were reported stolen from a box store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen. Cash and credit cards were stolen from a bicycle pouch in the Big Mountain area.

An intoxicated man off Foy's Lake Road was caught throwing rocks at passing cars.

Deputies were called to Collier Lane after a woman and friend reportedly showed up drunk to retrieve one of their children. The father refused to let the toddler go.

A Harmony Road woman reported seeing a man, possibly a prowler, lurking about her house.

The manager of a Swan Mountain Drive camping area reported a domestic violence incident between two guests. The man left before deputies arrived, and the woman was not cooperative.

Deputies received 140 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police were called three times Tuesday night to the corner of Main and Third streets. An 18-year-old girl was arrested for indecent exposure, a reported act of vandalism turned out to be a woman punching her own car, and passengers in a car tossed fireworks at a group of people on the street after an alleged drunk deal went bad.

Someone opened a package outside a Kenway Drive home, apparently looking for prescription medication.

An intoxicated man got into an argument with another man on 10th Avenue East. One of the warring parties was gone before officers arrived.

Approximately $200 in cash was reported stolen during a break-in at a Liberty Street residence.

Quite a few beer cans were found under the shrubs at a Garland Drive residence.

A woman told police her ex-boyfriend used more than $400 worth of her food stamps at a Kalispell grocery store.

A man causing trouble at a bar on U.S. 93 South was asked to leave, then requested to speak with officers about receiving threats. Officers at the same bar some time later arrested a 21-year-old man and a 33-year-old man for obstructing justice.

Officers responded to Meridian Road and Three Mile Drive after a cyclist was hit by a small car, suffering minor injuries.

Officers received 87 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police responding to reports of a fight at a Central Avenue bar arrested a 31-year-old man for disorderly conduct.

Officers received 48 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of DUI during a traffic stop on 12th Avenue West and 10th Street.

Officers received 25 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

An elderly man who fell in the front yard of an Arbour Drive home did not require an ambulance to take him to the hospital. The Kalispell Fire Department and West Valley Fire Department responded.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to a motel on U.S. 93 after a man stuck himself in the eye with a car antenna. He was taken to North Valley Hospital.

The Smith Valley Fire Department was called to Meadow Hills Drive after a rag soaked in flammable liquid caught fire in the back of a work van. The fire had extinguished itself some time before, but the van owner wanted reassurance it wouldn't re-ignite.

The Kalispell Fire Department and Evergreen Fire Department responded to a two-car crash Wednesday morning in front of an Evergreen fast-food restaurant. No one was seriously injured.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a T-bone crash on U.S. 93 and Wyoming Street, but no one was seriously injured.
