A Nicholson Drive woman out doing yard work got into an argument with a group of passing teens, most of whom were girls, about their swearing. The altercation escalated until the woman was hit in the head by a thrown soda bottle. Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded.

Deputies were called to a casino on U.S. 2 west of Kalispell after a woman was assaulted. She told authorities she had been kicked in the head.

Two men fighting in the front yard of a Ridgewood Drive residence elected not to pursue charges against each other.

An older woman sitting in a Columbia Falls-area restaurant staring at other customers struck somebody as suspicious. Turns out she was with a group of people patronizing the restaurant, but just didn't want to eat anything.

Deputies responded to a bar on Montana 35 in Evergreen after a passerby witnessed a man clock a woman. The victim left before authorities arrived.

An intoxicated couple at a Murray Lake campground got into an altercation with a fellow camper. A picnic table allegedly was thrown during the fracas. The warring parties, however, managed to work it out among themselves after deputies were called.

A man at an Evergreen store who locked his keys inside his truck was advised to call a locksmith.

Deputies received 181 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police arrested several men in connection with an alleged assault on Second Avenue East. A woman claimed a group of men came in with batons and held a gun to her husband's head.

A woman whose purse was stolen a couple years ago believes the culprit used her identity to purchase a house and take out a credit card.

Officers responded to Main and Idaho streets after a man reported being threatened over the phone. It turned out, however, that the alleged victim initiated the call. Everyone involved was counseled.

A man and woman at an East Idaho Street grocery store got upset when their wire transaction failed to go through. The couple allegedly threw paper at employees, flipped them off, and used naughty words.

Two women reportedly drove past an Eighth Avenue West residence shouting rude comments.

A 16-year-old boy who took his North Meridian Road father's car without permission was arrested for driving without a license and for probation violation.

In one of several trips Thursday night to the corner of Third and Main streets, officers arrested a boy for open container and cited two others for curfew violations. A little while later, a group of kids at the same corner allegedly tried to uproot a "No Parking" sign.

A man was harassing customers outside a book store on U.S. 93 North until officers arrested him on an outstanding warrant.

Officers received 98 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 19-year-old man on a warrant for contempt of court after he showed up to see the judge.

Officers received 43 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 26 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

Three Rivers EMS and the Canyon Quick Response Unit responded to a Hungry Horse grocery store after someone was stung by a bee.

Three Rivers EMS responded to Ninth Street West in Columbia Falls after a teenage boy was injured in an accident. He was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The ALERT helicopter and Smith Valley Fire Department responded to a crash on Coon Hollow Road in Kila. A 17-year-old hit a tree. Injured parties were taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to First Avenue East North after a fire spread from a garbage can into a garage. The flames were extinguished.
