Junior golfers win titles at Eagle Bend

The eighth annual Flathead Junior Golf Championships were held Thursday at Eagle Bend Golf Course in Bigfork.
Sixty-three golfers competed on a cool, wet day with champions crowned in five age divisions for boys and three for girls.
Par for those playing nine holes was 36, and 72 for 18.
Taking titles were: Tyler Avery (ages 5-7) from Kalispell; Ryggs Johnston (8-10) from Libby; Teigan Avery (11-13) from Kalispell; Patrick Colberg (11-13) from Missoula; Maggie Crippen (14-15) from Missoula; Casey Diaz (14-15) from Missoula; Kiley McConnell (16-17) from Whitefish; and Colin Gunstream (16-17) from Missoula.
Gunstream had the best 18-hole total for boys, carding a 69. For the girls, Crippen led the way with a 79.
