Glacier's first 100 years showcased in special section

As Glacier National Park prepares to celebrate its centennial, a special publication inserted in today's Daily Inter Lake takes a look at the grandeur that's encompassed the park in its first 100 years.

The 36-page section is filled with historic photos and stories that highlight the uniqueness of Glacier, from its geology and glaciers to the rigor of building Going-to-the-Sun Road. The publication is a joint production of the Inter Lake, Flathead Publishing Group and the Glacier Centennial Program.

A second publication focusing on Glacier's current issues and a look to the national park's future will be produced in May 2010 to coincide with the 100-year anniversary.
