The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a fire at the Rosebriar Inn Sunday night, finding a single room "fully engulfed" and extinguishing it within 15 minutes. Kalispell Police evacuated the entire inn, but people were allowed back in within a half hour.

Earlier, the fire department responded to a fire report at a hotel on U.S. 93 south, but it was only a smoking washing machine.

Kalispell police received a report of someone attempting to steal a bicycle near apartments on Fourth Avenue East Sunday night.

Monday, there was a report of someone attempting to break into vehicles on the 1800 block of Airport Road.

There was a report of four businesses in the 200 block area of Third Avenue West being "tagged" with spraypaint graffiti.

There was a report of a recently fired employee raising a ruckus at a business on the 1800 block of U.S. 93 South. The man yelled profanities and threats before leaving.

A diamond ring worth about $4,800 was reported stolen from a hotel on U.S. 93 South.

There were 66 dispatch log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a disorderly person at a shopping plaza on U.S. 2 West Sunday night. They found an intoxicated transient who was advised to move along.

There was a report of two men fighting in the Meadow Manor area. They were separated and counseled.

Two teenage boys were fighting near a store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen. They were separated and told to leave.

Early Monday, an intoxicated man was making a scene on Shady Lane. He was told to leave.

There was a report of a vehicle with two flat tires parked on the Rails to Trails trail west of Kalispell. It turned out to be abandoned rather than stolen, and the owner was making plans to have it towed from the trail.

A woman reported that her landlord was hassling her and making it more difficult to move out of a Capistrano Drive rental.

A teenage boy reported an assault involving his father at a Riverside Road residence. There were no arrests.

Sheriff's dispatch had 153 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police had a report Sunday night from a hotel on Wisconsin Avenue that items had been stolen from a room.

There was a report of a puppy being stolen from a person at the Iron Horse golf course.

Monday morning, there was a report of the clock tower on Baker Avenue being "tagged" with spray paint.

A wallet and wine were stolen from a vehicle on the 200 block of Skyles Place.

A car dealership reported that mailbox had been damaged.

An Ipod was stolen from a business on the Stumptown Art Studio.

Someone broke into a vehicle on the 1000 block of East Third Street.

There were 29 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.
