A Martin City woman called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies to report that she thinks someone, who keeps breaking into her home, is living in the attic.

She called back several hours later to complain that the attic squatter was back for the third time this week. Deputies did not find anything amiss.

The driver of a delivery van told deputies the manager of a trailer court off U.S. 93 near Whitefish harassed her for driving too fast.

The propeller off a boat or boat motor went missing on Shadow Lane. A road sign for Crane Marsh Way was stolen.

Deputies responded to an Evergreen box store after a 33-year-old woman tried to walk out after filling her cart. She apparently planned to return the items for cash to buy drugs.

The woman who tried to drop her kids off with their Lakeside caretaker allegedly was drunk.

A boat with several people on it got stranded Tuesday evening on Hughes Bay. The vessel was towed to shore without incident.

Deputies responded to Hungry Horse after a passer-by reported seeing a man with long hair and a black hat wandering aimlessly. The 20-year-old was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court.

A neighborhood child allegedly shot out an Eighth Avenue East resident's window with a pellet gun. The child's mother paid for the damage.

Deputies received 177 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police were called to the Flathead County fairgrounds Wednesday afternoon because of fears that a briefcase left in the Expo Building might be a bomb.

It wasn't.

The briefcase had just been left behind by a fair participant.

A woman reportedly was seen strapped to the top of a car driving through Woodland Park.

Officers arrested a 16-year-old girl late Tuesday on suspicion of family member assault, criminal mischief, and being a runaway after officers responded to a disturbance on Fifth Avenue East.

A 32-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after allegedly showing up intoxicated at the Flathead County fairgrounds.

Officers arrested a 46-year-old man for possession of an open container of alcohol after responding to a suspicious person complaint at a pizza joint on North Main Street.

A vehicle parked outside an East Idaho Street restaurant was reported stolen. Turns out it had been impounded so authorities with a warrant could conduct a search on it.

The resident of a trailer parked behind a North Meridian Road bar reportedly chased off the group of kids rudely shaking his home with a shotgun. The kids allegedly yelled threats as they left.

Officers received 98 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police received 38 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 37 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

Three Rivers EMS responded to U.S. 2 west of Columbia Falls after a woman fell and hit her head. She was taken to North Valley Hospital.

The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to Whalebone Drive after a 51-year-old woman fell off her bike. She was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with an injured back.

The Creston Fire Department and Kalispell Fire Department responded to Montana 35 for a rollover crash. Injured occupants were taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Badrock Fire Department responded to U.S. 2 to extinguish a fire in a garbage can.
