A Kila woman found her dog sitting on the porch with a note around his neck. In the note, a neighbor threatened to shoot the dog if it came on to his property again, just like the neighbor said he did with her other dog. The woman told Flathead County Sheriff's deputies she is indeed missing another dog.

Deputies responded to Three Mile Drive after a man called to report that a friend hit him and his mother. The suspect, who was arrested on suspicion of vandalism and outstanding misdemeanor warrants, also broke things in the garage and kicked his car.

Two boys tried to break in through the window of a Solberg Drive resident's home - until they were scared off and left running.

Someone stole a white lion-shaped statue from a pedestal outside a West View Drive home.

A man on Vonderheide Lane, who is on house arrest, reportedly threatened to kill his uncle.

The landlord allegedly is stalking one of his residents, who lives on U.S. 93 near Whitefish.

Kalispell police

A man called his missing phone. The person who answered it told him to come down to a west Kalispell bar to fight for it. Kalispell police are investigating.

A dead dog was found on its owner's East California Street porch. The owner thinks the animal had been poisoned.

Three boys were discovered in a Harrison Boulevard man's garage. One had a crowbar. The boys told the man they thought his car was one that had been stolen from them.

A man being threatened by some other men allegedly was assaulted by one of them at the fairgrounds.

In other fair-time shenanigans, a man told police his 16-year-old grandson was beat up.

Items were stolen from a Second Avenue East residence. The owner believes the neighbors have them.

Officers received 88 calls between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police responded to Montana Avenue early Thursday morning after receiving reports that people were driving around shining flashlights into cars, windows and yards. A man was arrested on a warrant for contempt.

Officers received 36 calls between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 25 calls between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alarms

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to U.S. 2 and Montana 35 after a car caught fire.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a crash on U.S. 93 and Reserve Loop involving a car and a tractor-trailer. The people involved suffered minor injuries.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department and Three Rivers EMS responded to Ninth Street and First Avenue East in Columbia Falls after a car rolled down a hill.

The Kalispell Fire Department and Evergreen Fire Department responded to Nicholson Drive after a 15-year-old girl stung several times by bees started having an allergic reaction.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to 12th Street East after a 3-year-old girl fell and hit her head.

Firefighters with the Bigfork Fire Department extinguished a small fire ignited by a downed power line on Echo Lake Road.
