Bob Welliver, 62, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009. He was born on Jan. 29, 1947, in Poplar. He then moved to Wolf Point where he attended and graduated from Immaculate Conception School. He also attended Wolf Point High School where he played sports.

Bob moved to Seattle where he worked for Boeing. He also traveled the West Coast, and was a product of the '60s and '70s era.

He later returned to Kalispell where he married Joyce Swindler. Together they had two daughters, Mikki and Mia. Bob worked at St. Matthew's and so enjoyed the nuns and children.

He was an avid reader and knowledgable on many subjects like ancient history, American history, medical science, politics and music. Bob knew the Bible well and all religions. He had read the entire encyclopedia cover to cover.

Much to everyone's surprise, Bob had a beautiful voice and sang opera, and had taken first place in many competitions.

Bobby was best known for his big smile and his great love of life which he lived to the fullest.

He so loved his granddaughters, Cierra, Cheyenne, India and Ember. He said each one was beautiful and special in their own way.

We know Bob had many friends and family and his brothers Rick and Pat "will be waiting at those pearly gates."

He will be sorely missed here by those who loved him, his wife of 41 years, Joyce; daughters, Mikki and Mia; granddaughters; sisters and brother, Mem Zundel, Kelly Thumm, and Tony Welliver; and extended family.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life and potluck at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at 369 Willow Glen Drive, in Kalispell. Bring a chair, as it is held outdoors.

Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for Bob's family. You are invited to go to www.jgfuneralhome.com to view Bob's guest book, offer condolences, and share memories.
