Jean Beccari, 72

Jean Beccari, 72, of Bonner, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, at the family home on Norman Creek Road.

She was born on Sept. 3, 1936, in Lovell, Wyo., to Loren Hansen and Vera Asay Hansen. She was raised in Lovell and graduated from Lovell High School. After high school, she attended the University of Utah before transferring to the University of Montana, where she met her husband, Paul. They were married in Missoula on Nov. 10, 1956, and lived in Missoula, Libby and Spokane before returning to Missoula in 1969.

The family moved to a home they built on Norman Creek Road, between Bonner and Potomac, in 1972. Jean raised her family there and in later years tended her gardens and flower gardens, spent lots of time with her grandchildren and took drives all over the valley with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Beccari, at the family home; her son, Dirk, his wife, Kathleen, and grandchildren Dominic, Sarah and Jimmy of Missoula; her daughter, Sue, her husband, Jay Erickson, and grandchildren John, Jeff and Julie of Missoula; her daughter, Paula, her husband, Dan Bock, and grandchild, Nathan of Simi Valley, Calif.; her son, Chris, his wife, Shana, and grandchildren Kylee and Tommy of Kalispell; her son, Nic, of St. Paul, Minn.; one sister, Allene Morris and her husband, Lew, of Billings; one brother, Ron and his wife, Lee, of Bellevue, Wash.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at St. Anthony Church, with a reception to follow in the Parish Center.
