Dolores 'Dolly' V. Martin-Mackaman, 88
Dolores "Dolly" V. Martin-Mackaman, 88, passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell. Dolly was born Aug. 5, 1921, in Wilmot, S.D., to Everett and Melinda Phillips. She was raised in Montana, near Columbia Falls with one brother, Jim Phillips, who is deceased.
Dolly had lived in Alaska for a brief time, as well as Enumclaw, Wash., and Hot Springs. She attended Flathead County High School and managed the coffee shop at Many Glacier Hotel for three summers.
She married Morris Martin in 1941. Morris preceded her in death.
Dolly was an avid bowler and enjoyed crocheting afghans for her family. She always enjoyed cooking and got along with children very well.
She was preceded in death by her father, Everett Phillips; and mother, Melinda Pettit.
Dolly is survived by two sons, Robert and wife, Leona, and Ronald and wife, Lilli Ann; five grandchildren, Dean Martin of Youngsville, La., Lisa Sistrunk of Lafayette, La., Lynda Guillary of The Woodlands, Texas, and stepgrandsons, Francis Bickford of Chelsea, Ala., and Michael Bickford of Lafayette, La.; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.
