Margaret F. Cummings, 85

Margaret F. Cummings, 85, of Whitefish, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at Brendan House in Kalispell. She was born at Covington, Ky., on June 16, 1924, the daughter of James and Tootsie Clayton, and was raised and educated in northern Kentucky.

She and her late husband John Cummings were longtime residents of Cincinnati. He preceded her in death in 1978. She remained in Cincinnati until coming to Whitefish in 2002, where she had made her home until the time of her death.

She is survived by her children, Jim and wife, Kathy Cummings, of Whitefish, John Cummings Jr., of Hillsboro, Ohio, and daughter, Cynthia Homan, of Batavia, Ohio; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. this Saturday, Aug. 29, at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Whitefish. A Mass of the Resurrection and interment will be in Cincinnati.
