Flathead County Sheriff's deputies were called to mediate a dispute between neighbors on Rocky Mountain Road in Lakeside. One allegedly built a road across the other's property. However, the placement of an easement also is at issue.

Peacocks got loose on Springcreek Road. Animal wardens also were called to deal with horses in a yard on Pioneer Road, a stray cow on Redwing Court, and a runaway dog on Montana 35.

Someone broke into a home near Angel Point and trashed it. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Three projectors and some other equipment were reported missing Wednesday afternoon from Bigfork High School.

The person who apparently tried to jimmy the door of a Columbia Falls residence left a key snapped off in the lock.

Deputies were called to break up an altercation at a Marion bar and an argument on Abbot Village Drive.

Deputies received 158 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police

A woman allegedly attacked the paramedic who transported her spouse to a dialysis clinic off U.S. 93 North. She claims the paramedic was trying to kidnap her husband. Kalispell police required the woman to apologize, and everyone went away happy.

Someone egged a car on First Avenue West North. The lawn outside Flathead High School was driven over.

In separate incidents, officers arrested shoplifters - one a 61-year-old woman, the other a 17-year-old girl - at area grocery stores.

A man on his knees in the middle of Third Avenue East North reportedly yelled at passers-by. He was told to move along.

Maggot-filled bags on Sylvan Drive were reported as a possible health hazard. Turns out the bags were full of rotten meat.

A Fifth Avenue East man called police because his intoxicated son was causing problems and breaking bottles inside the residence. He was gone when officers arrived.

Officers responded to the Hawthorne Avenue area after a man was overheard yelling, followed by a child screaming. Turns out the kid just didn't want to eat his dinner.

Someone broke into a Fourth Street West home while the resident was sleeping and stole a laptop computer off the kitchen table. About $100 was stolen from an unlocked car on Sixth Avenue West.

Officers received 89 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police on Wisconsin Avenue arrested a 27-year-old man on a city warrant for contempt of court.

Officers received 24 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

The landlord of a Ninth Street West residence called Columbia Falls police to complain about people moving into the home while the occupant is in jail.

Officers received 22 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

The Columbia Falls Fire Department was dispatched to extinguish a fire on Third Avenue West.

The Evergreen Fire Department and Kalispell Fire Department responded to a crash on U.S. 2 near Rose Crossing.

The West Valley Fire Department extinguished a fire in a dumpster at the county landfill off U.S. 93.

A 72-year-old man was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center after suffering a 10-foot fall on Double Lake Lane. Paramedics with the Creston Fire Department and Bigfork Ambulance responded.
