Gussie Lavelle
Gussie Lavelle passed away Aug. 24, 2009, in Woodland Hills, Calif.
She was the most wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and best friend anyone could have in their life. We are all honored to have had her in our lives. "Be happy and have fun" was her advice.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard, in Woodland Hills; her daughter, Mary Ann Applegate, and son-in-law, Michael, and her two grandsons, who were the lights of her life, Matthew and Marc Lee, all of Kalispell; her son, Richard, and her granddaughter, Angela, who was so precious to her, residing in Valatie, N.Y.; and brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends "back East."
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Camp Hope, P.O. Box 670, Carmel, N.Y. 10512, in memory of her son Robert and of her. Camp Hope is a summer camp for disabled children where her son so loved to spend summers before he died of muscular dystrophy.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Lorenzen Mortuary, 19300 Sherman Way, Reseda, Calif.
