Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to four reports early Thursday morning of shots heard. However, on each occasion - on Blanchard Lake Road, Mountain Shadows Drive, Rest Haven Drive, and East Lakeshore Drive - deputies were unable to find anything amiss.

A man at a Hungry Horse bar said he was assaulted by a group of men who took off southbound. The alleged victim was taken to North Valley Hospital.

Construction tools were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Helena Flats Road.

A man and woman reportedly were screaming at each other as they walked down U.S. 2 in Evergreen. The couple was gone when deputies arrived.

Someone cut the screen on an Evergreen coffee shop and made off with a case of blueberry muffins, tea, and energy drinks.

Money, reportedly $50 in change, was stolen from an Evergreen nursery. The perpetrator may have climbed the fence.

A passerby called deputies concerned that the new generators people were selling on Pioneer Road were stolen.

Deputies were called late Wednesday to break up an argument on Pioneer Road and a fight in Bigfork.

Deputies received 200 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Kalispell police

A passerby at the intersection of East Idaho Street and Seventh Avenue East North thought they saw a body hanging out the back of a flatbed truck. When asked if it was, in fact, a body, the truck driver nodded that indeed it was. The passerby called Kalispell police, who discovered the "body" actually was the leg to a mannequin and counseled the truck driver about misleading the elderly.

Cash and a checkbook were stolen from a car on Fifth Avenue East. A leather folder containing tax and school documents was stolen from a car on Second Avenue West. It was found down the block, discarded.

Employees of a West Idaho Street restaurant wanted some transients kicked out after they stole soda. Two hours later, police were back in the area after the same transients were spotted fighting. Officers again warned them to stay away from the restaurant.

A man, who allegedly sat in a car off Sylvan Drive for five hours, got out and urinated. He was gone when officers arrived.

Officers cited a teenage boy for possession of alcohol, curfew violation, displaying fictitious plates, driving without a license, driving without insurance, and speeding during a traffic stop on South Main Street.

Windows were broken out and items taken from vehicles parked on Fifth Avenue East North.

The DJ at a West Idaho Street bar told police the bartender refused to pay him and then shoved him.

Officers were unable to find anything amiss after four or five gunshots reportedly were heard near Flathead Valley Community College.

A fight between upwards of a dozen kids at Woodland Park turned out to be just wrestling and general tomfoolery.

Officers received 91 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 41 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 10 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alarms

The Kalispell Fire Department responded twice to Sixth Avenue West to treat the vicim of a fall.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a Sylvan Drive residence after a belt in a washing machine started smoking.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to a busted gas line off Helena Flats Road.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to a Shadow Lane yard after a car caught fire. The flames were extinguished.
