Chris Henry Wall, 54
Chris Henry Wall, 54, of Marion, died on Aug. 25, 2009, in Kalispell. Chris was born on Sept. 4, 1954, in Rupert, Idaho, to Luella and Speed Wall. He was the youngest of nine children.
Chris graduated from Minico High School in Rupert. After high school, he played in a band and wrote music. Chris said he wrote two songs for the Oakridge Boys and played back-up for them. This is unconfirmed and Chris loved to tell stories.
During this time, Chris laid brick and was a stonemason. This was to become his life's work along with hunting, fishing and playing the guitar.
Chris married Diane Poole and became a father to 2-year-old Nikki. To this union was also born a son, Leon. They lived in lssaquah, Wash., for 10 years when they moved to Kalispell, where he worked for Masonry for Muller.
Chris was preceded in death by his mother and father; and one sister, Carma Wall.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Nikki Schreiber; son, Leon Wall; and two grandchildren, Makayla and Devin Schreiber. Also surviving him are his ex-wife, Diane Bailey; his sisters, Jeanette Webb, Myrna Grant, La Nelle Bacon and Wenda Catherman; his brothers, Gaymore Wall, Larry Wall and Rick Wall; as well as numerous friends and followers of "Cantankerous Chris' on B-98.
Cremation has taken place with a celebration of life being held at 3 p.m. today, Aug. 29, at Moose Crossing in Marion.
