Shots reportedly fired during disturbance

Flathead County sheriff

Someone called Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies after shots reportedly were fired early Wednesday morning during an altercation among a group of intoxicated people on Alberta Street. An onlooker saw a woman running, followed by the sound of shots. No one, however, was, confirmed to be injured, afraid for their safety, or wanted to pursue charges. One person was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

A man and his daughter were separated after getting into an argument on Ridgewood Terrace.

Gasoline was siphoned from a car on Caroline Road. In an unrelated incident, gas went missing from a Hungry Horse residence.

A suspect ran from a traffic stop on Anderson Lane. Turns out the vehicle involved had been stolen.

Two intoxicated men allegedly threatened someone at a Montana 35 food pantry, then took off.

Deputies responded to Kings Loop in Evergreen after receiving reports that a weapon made an appearance during an argument.

The presence of several deputies was required to settle an altercation between people on Collier Lane.

Deputies received 125 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police responded to an argument on Eighth Avenue West that began when a man threw another person’s keys outside.

A 10th Avenue West woman asked police for additional patrol of her neighborhood because a man keeps showing up and banging on her door, usually in the middle of the night.

Purses were reported stolen from a car outside a department store on U.S. 93 North and from a car at a Center Street mall.

Zip-ties went missing from an auto parts shop on East Idaho Street, and the culprit may be on surveillance camera.

Officers responded to a Woodland Park Drive bar after a patron refused to leave the parking lot.

A man called police to a Third Avenue West North residence because his girlfriend wouldn’t let him in to get his clothes. Turns out she just didn’t want him around because he was intoxicated.

Officers received 70 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 23 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 43-year-old man on suspicion of DUI after a minor crash on U.S. 2.

Officers received 15 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

The Olney Fire Department was paged out to a crash on U.S. 93 near mile marker 142.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department and Three Rivers EMS responded to reports of a fire at a Meadow Lake Boulevard plant.

The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to a chimney fire on Silver Cloud Trail.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to South Meadows Drive after a fire started in the oven. There was smoke but no flames when firefighters arrived.

The South Kalispell Fire Department responded to what was reported as a controlled but illegal burn off Willow Glen Drive.
