A 13-year-old River Place boy called Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies after his mother allegedly spanked him. Deputies determined it was a matter of discipline and counseled those involved.
Deputies started a search for a Columbia Falls man who reportedly sent a text message to his ex-wife saying he was going to kill himself. When found, the man denied being suicidal.
A woman with a restraining order against her ex-husband told deputies he was stalking her. He apparently showed up at a gas station she was frequenting.
Someone allegedly stole a trailer, and the wood on it, from the east Evergreen area.
A 15-year-old Sunset Drive girl left to take out the trash early Thursday morning and never returned. She was reported as a runaway.
Neighbors reported an intruder at a Willow Glen Drive residence. Turns out it was the homeowner, but he had forgotten his key.

Someone with a small bottle of hand sanitizer reportedly got pushy with a Sixth Avenue East resident, who thought the man was trying to get inside their home. Officers warned the man about his behavior.
Officers arrested one of the men in a car pulled over on Kelly Road and U.S. 93 South for drug possession. His passenger was arrested on a misdemeanor city warrant.
A man who caused a disturbance in his community college professor’s class allegedly proceeded to threaten her by phone and in person.
Officers settled an altercation between a husband and wife on Liberty Street. She told police he had threatened to kill her.
Skis worth approximately $1,500 were reported stolen from a garage on Seventh Avenue East. A gun went missing from an Ashley Drive residence.

Whitefish police
A 37-year-old man came to the Whitefish police station to answer questions about an altercation some days earlier at a Central Avenue bar. Officers heard him out, then arrested him on suspicion of assault.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on warrants for writing bad checks and failing to appear for a court date during a traffic stop off Baker Avenue.
A 19-year-old man was arrested for theft after running out of a Baker Avenue grocery store with a donation jar for the food bank. He also had an outstanding warrant, also for theft.

Columbia Falls police are investigating reports that someone was looking into windows on Riparian Drive.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to a U.S. 93 convenience store after a man with a metal walking stick was found lying on the pavement.
The Whitefish Fire Department responded to a crash on U.S. 93 west of town. An injured occupant was taken to North Valley Hospital with cuts and bruises.
The Kalispell Fire Department responded Thursday afternoon to the intersection of Main and Idaho streets after a 36-year-old motorist stopped breathing. Passersby stopped and began CPR, which was continued by paramedics, who got the woman breathing again by the time they arrived at the hospital.
