Forgetful man reports kidnapping

Flathead County sheriff

A woman invited a man, with whom she has an on-again, off-again relationship, to her Martin City home. When he got unruly, she wanted him to leave. Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies gave the man a ride to a friend’s home. But he apparently didn’t remember how he got there, and later called to report he had been kidnapped.

Someone cut the fuel line on a truck outside a U.S. 93 South business and siphoned off the gas.

A Columbia Falls-area parent called to report their son was bleeding from the head. He was taken to the hospital via private vehicle.

The 21-year-old daughter of a Bigfork man took his car without his permission. He didn’t want to file charges, but did want to know if he was liable if she crashed. The man was referred to the proper people to answer his question.

People were in the doorway of a Whitefish Stage Road church early Saturday morning and there were cars in the parking lot. But not when authorities arrived.

While leaving her former place of employment, a woman was texted by her boss. He threatened to file trespassing charges. She said she was just getting some personal belongings.

Someone rang the doorbell of a Marion home in the wee hours of Saturday morning. When the homeowner asked him what he wanted, the man ran off.

Three kids in a field off Willow Glen Drive allegedly tossed ice balls at a passing vehicle, cracking the roof.

Deputies received 151 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Kalispell police

A woman at an East Idaho Street motel told Kalispell police that her boyfriend kicked her out of their room, then when she went back for some stuff, he reportedly shoved her by the face.

Three-vehicle, non-injury crashes were reported at the intersections of East Idaho Street and Meridian Road and U.S. 93 and 18th Street.

Officers separated a man and woman arguing over a 2-month-old baby on Second Street West.

Someone reportedly came through a Leisure Drive woman’s back door, which had been left unlocked, and put children’s clothes in her basement.

A TV and a large jar of change was reported stolen from a North Belmar Street residence.

Officers arrested a Concord Lane man on two outstanding warrants for burglary.

A customer at a U.S. 93 South convenience store got obnoxious with a clerk after she wouldn’t sell him alcohol. He apparently left and went to a different store.

Two people were caught having sex in the day room of a Liberty Street apartment complex, and an observer thought police should be notified.

A Second Avenue West resident wanted officers’ help because their intoxicated father-in-law was sleeping in his truck and wouldn’t let anyone take him home. There was fear he would freeze.

Officers received 81 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 22 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police broke up a fight behind a Nucleus Avenue bar. Officers were forced to use their Tasers on two of the pugilists. Three people, two men and a woman, were arrested.

A 47-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI during a traffic stop on U.S. 2. She also was wanted on a Montana Highway warrant.

Officers received 28 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to a Danielson Road school after a kid got hit in the head, accidentally, by a piece of wood.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department was paged out to Nucleus Avenue after receiving reports that there was a fire in a nearby building. Firefighters, however, found no flames.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Fifth Avenue West after a home filled with smoke. There was no fire, but wiring was smoking.
