John Allen Lengstorf, 76

John Allen Lengstorf, 76, passed away on Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at his residence in Kalispell. He was born on April 17, 1933, in Butte, the son of Charles and Janette (Boe) Lengstorf. John was united in marriage to Marilyn Berg on June 15, 1956, in Kalispell. John lived a life of adventure and love. He attacked life with all the vigor of a sportsman and the boundless energy of a bear. He loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his family at their cabin on McGregor Lake. He never held back his affection and always returned much more than he was given. John was a shield and a rock to his family. He was a rollicking treasury of stories and wisdom gained through great exploits and hard experience. John was a success at being a husband, father, grandfather and friend. His value may never be truly known. He will be missed. He leaves everyone who knew him poorer in his absence. He was preceded in death by two sons, Mike Lengstorf and John Lengstorf. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Lengstorf, his daughter, Kathy Lengstorf, grandsons, Bryce Provo and Ben Drent, and granddaughter, Jennifer Jasmin, all of Kalispell; great-grandchildren, Jack, John, Josh, Jacob, Alex and Hope; three sisters, Cecelia Bertram of Kalispell, Alice Gamble of Spokane, and Laura Raijala of Bigfork, Minn.; and a brother, Charles Lengstorf, of Louisville, Ky. Memorial services for John will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, in the Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Chapel. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for John s family.
