Shooting victim dropped off at emergency room

Authorities are investigating the shooting of a man who was left Saturday outside the Kalispell Regional Medical Center emergency room.

The man, whose name has not been released, got out of a car in front of the hospital about 2:20 p.m. and said he had been shot. The car then drove off, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

The man, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, was in critical condition Saturday evening, said a hospital spokeswoman.

Investigators on Saturday began searching for both a suspect and for where the shooting occurred. Detectives with the Kalispell Police Department also are assisting in the investigation. Further information was not available Saturday.
