Alarm brings flooded basement to light

Flathead County sheriff

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at a Fox Hill Drive residence around 1 p.m. to find a carbon monoxide alarm going off and a flooded basement from a broken pipe.

Also around 1 p.m., there was a report of windows broken out of an old school bus parked on Mountain View Drive.

An iPod was reported stolen from Henry Lane.

A third party reported seeing drivers of a jeep and another car yelling at each other through open windows in front of a Bigfork grocery store around 4 p.m.

An ex reportedly wouldn’t leave a family’s home on Mountain Meadow Road, but left without incident when a deputy arrived.

An 11-year-old was reported missing after he was dropped off at the library and failed to walk home in a timely manner. As the call was being reported, he walked through the door.

On Monday evening, ShopKo reported a 21-year-old woman had stolen a ring from the store.

A theft of $800 dollars was reported from a Hodgson Road home. There were no signs of a break-in.

A dog house on Kings Loop was reported to be on fire. Deputies were able to put the fire out. The dog was OK.

A frozen horse was reported near East Reserve, but the report proved to be unfounded. The horse was merely sleeping.

A little after 1 p.m., gas was reported to have been siphoned out of a Bigfork church’s bus.

A woman called to report that she believed her neighbor’s dogs had frozen to death. A deputy responded, finding one dead dog. The matter is under investigation.

Around 9:30 Monday night, a woman reported seeing a suspicious man outside her trailer off U.S. 2 East near Columbia Falls. The man ran off, and deputies found no footprints or the man in question.

A man was transported to the hospital with possible head injuries after he drove through a gate and into some trees along the Fifth Street in West Glacier at about 9:30 p.m. Monday.

A purse was reportedly stolen from a woman at a casino on U.S. 2.

The yellow lab found running along the side of U.S. 93 was picked up by the Humane Society.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police got a report about 8:30 Monday night from a woman saying someone tried to open her door, then disappeared. She is requesting extra patrol.

Two men were arrested for disorderly conduct in separate incidents.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police reported a bar fight broke out Monday about midnight. A man was arrested and charged with simple assault.

Columbia Falls police

The Columbia Falls police had no significant incidents to report.
