Edmond J. Solomon, 95

Edmond J. Solomon, 95, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at his home in Kalispell, with his immediate family nearby. He was born on Nov. 6, 1914, in Anaconda, to Seraphin and Mary Solomon. He attended schools in Anaconda, graduating from Anaconda High School in 1932. He then attended college at Montana State University-Bozeman, where he earned his bachelor s degree. Ed worked for Montana Power Company from 1936, until he retired as a chief gas engineer in 1976. He enjoyed woodworking, clock and watch repair, gardening and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Katherine; a son, Roy; and two sisters, Loretta and Edna. He is survived by two sons and their wives, Gary and Linda Solomon of Kalispell, and Wayne and April Solomon of Lebanon, Mo.; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Another memorial service and interment will be conducted in Butte, in the early summer of 2010.
