Grounded flock of geese disappears

Flathead County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of 17 domestic geese stolen from a residence on Springhill Road. The owner said they couldn’t have flown away, as the geese weren’t able to fly.
A 24-year-old male allegedly stole a cell phone from Kmart.
A man and woman were reportedly screaming at each other inside a residence on Emmons Canyon Road, but when a deputy arrived, both of their cars were gone and no one answered the door.
Wednesday evening, a man stumbled as he left a business and drove off in a dark-colored Dodge. An employee feared the man might have been drinking.
A man was found sleeping in his vehicle outside a business just before midnight Wednesday. He was asked to leave.
A 20-year-old male was unconscious, but breathing, along Fairview Lane. He was transported to the hospital.
After a woman dropped her children off at school, she returned to find the door of her home wide open. The cat was the only thing reported missing.
Probation officers brought a prisoner into the Flathead County Detention Center. Upon searching, they found a small amount of marijuana in his pocket.
A deputy saw a man and a woman engaged in a verbal argument while driving along Reserve Drive. He was able to counsel them.
A man’s girlfriend left some of his property on his grandparents’ porch. It was stolen soon after she left it there.
Ten mules were reported as being without food. The animal warden was investigating as of press time.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received 119 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Kalispell police
Christmas came early for a Bison Drive resident, who found several packages in his yard Wednesday. Kalispell police, a radio station and Kmart were contacted in an attempt to return the property to its owner.
A man called alleging his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend dented the bumper of his car and messed with his holiday lights. Both parties were counseled.
Open cans of mushrooms were thrown at a residence. The homeowner said this has happened before.
A woman tried to pass a counterfeit bill at a business off U.S. 2 West.
Workers at a thrift shop found credit and membership cards in a donated item, but have been unsuccessful in contacting the owner.
Wednesday night, unknown persons pounded on the door of a home and left items on the front porch.
Goats escaped, again, from a residence on Kenway Drive. An officer knocked on the goat owner’s door. No one answered and he left a citation.
The Kalispell Police Department received 80 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Whitefish police
Whitefish police arrested a 35-year-old man for fighting in a bar. The incident happened a few days ago.
The Whitefish Police Department received 17 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Columbia Falls police reported no significant incidents.
The Columbia Falls Police Department received nine calls for service between 3:30 p.m Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Alarms
The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a carbon monoxide alarm and was able to shut down a faulty furnace that was emitting the gas. No one was injured.
