Braves, Wolfpack top AA mat poll

Flathead and Glacier are ranked 1-2, respectively, in the first AA wrestling poll of the season.

Flathead, coming off an impressive first-place finish last week at the Mining City Duals in Butte, has four wrestlers ranked No. 1 at their respective weight classes — Caleb Piasecki (112), Shawn Lau (140), Larry Francis (171) and Connor Thomas (285).

Glacier, which celebrated its highest finish ever at the Mining City Duals by placing third, has one individual topping his weight class — Cooper Sipe (130).

Flathead competes in the Tri State Tournament today and Saturday in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, while Glacier heads to Great Falls for the CMR invitational, today and Saturday.
