Flathead County sheriff

After her checkbook was stolen, a woman decided not to press charges with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. Apparently the only fraudulent charge as of yet was a bar tab, and the woman felt sorry for the perpetrator.

Thursday afternoon, a 16-year-old teen was last seen driving from a residence on Blazing Trail with her small dog. Her parents have reported her as a runaway.

Wanting to trap a couple of loose dogs, a property owner called animal control. Authorities plan to contact the dogs’ owner.

A Rottweiler chased and killed a deer near Dawson Trail.

Drivers of the trucks seen pulling children on sleds along Monte Vista Road were spoken to by deputies and decided to take the sleds in for the afternoon.

A woman notified authorities, claiming to have a receipt for five pounds of product, but says she only received two pounds from a wood product retailer. Store employees maintain she received all she paid for.

A 15-month-old baby accidentally drank bleach and was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center on Thursday night. 

Narcotic medications were stolen from a residence on Helena Flats Road.

Early Friday afternoon, a school official reportedly saw a possibly intoxicated parent driving through the parking lot. 

Deputies received 146 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell police

Paraphernalia and a medical marijuana card were reported stolen from a woman’s house. She suspects her ex-boyfriend. Kalispell police are investigating.

A man refused to leave a restaurant on Airport Road, but left after officers arrived. The same man was reportedly seen causing a disturbance later that evening at a restaurant on East Idaho. He had gone by the time police showed up.

A man attempting to enter a bar at 3:49 a.m. Friday left by the time officers arrived.

Two youths who took a brown bag containing a bank deposit from a coffee shop on Heritage Way were arrested on theft charges.

An employee of a care center called to report a man following a woman around the parking lot and harassing patients near the facility on Claremont Street.

A man in his late teens or early 20s seen wearing a hood was reportedly looking into vehicles parked along Main Street. He was gone by the time police arrived.

Police received 30 reports of abandoned vehicles.

Officers received 85 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 36-year-old man on charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct at a bar along U.S. 93 South.

Police also arrested a 34-year-old-man at his residence on Colorado Avenue on a felony warrant from Missouri for failing to pay child support.

Officers received 31 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

On Thursday afternoon, Columbia Falls police responded to a report of a teenager who allegedly had drugs in his car, which was parked in the high school parking lot. The matter is still under investigation. 

 Officers received 25 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.
