Frenchtown wins Buzz Lucey title

EUREKA — Frenchtown had six individual winners and also captured the team title on Saturday at the Buzz Lucey Invitational wrestling tournament.

Frenchtown scored 247 points to finish well ahead of runner-up Columbia Falls (170).

Rounding out the top five were Glacier JV (141), Polson JV (107) and Flathead JV (91).

Kelly Houle (215) of Columbia Falls was named the tournament’s outstanding wrestler. He won all three of his matches by pin.

Eureka had two individual winners in Taylor Vaughn (152) and Taylor Brown (160).

Glacier had two individuals winners — Zach Barber (105) and Joel Horn (285), and Flathead had one — Suny Cheff (112).

Also winning individual titles were Dalton Rice (130) of Whitefish and Brock Bleazard (140) of Polson.
