Man throws table through TV
Flathead County sheriff
After allegedly throwing a coffee table at a television, then allegedly hitting his girlfriend, a man was arrested by Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies on charges of partner or family assault soon after midnight at a Lakeside residence.
Someone reportedly was cutting down evergreen trees in a subdivision on Whitefish Stage. Neighbors didn’t know if the property owner had approved this, since he is in Texas.
A lone black-and-white cow was seen wandering near U.S. 2 around 4 p.m. Wednesday. Its owner was notified and took the bovine home. No word yet on how it escaped.
Bags of fertilizer reportedly were stolen from a nursery on East Idaho Street on Wednesday afternoon. Suspects have not been named.
A man was soaked by sprinklers as he tried to get a propane tank from a propane supplier on Fourth Avenue East on Wednesday evening. There was no fire reported and no word on what set off the sprinkler system.
A motorist was transported with unknown injuries around 11 p.m. Wednesday after a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Karrow Avenue and West Second Street in Whitefish.
A suspicious vehicle reportedly driving on a snowbank near Buckboard Lane at 12:46 a.m. Thursday was gone by the time deputies arrived.
Deputies received 91 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Kalispell police
A woman was driving down Fourth Avenue West when her car reportedly caught on fire Wednesday afternoon. A Kalispell Police officer gave her a ride.
Around 11 p.m. Wednesday, a suspicious person was reportedly looking into vehicles parked along Heritage Way.
An baby reportedly was left unattended for about an hour in a vehicle parked in the alley behind Eighth Avenue West. Someone took the child inside around 2 p.m. Thursday.
Officers received 48 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and :30 p.m. Thursday.
Whitefish police
Whitefish Police reported a relatively quiet holiday, receiving 20 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Columbia Falls police
Soon after midnight Wednesday, Columbia Falls Police arrested a man, 25, for driving under the influence near Nucleus Avenue.
Another vehicle parked along Ninth Avenue West was broken into sometime Wednesday evening.
Officers received 10 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
