The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report at 1:48 a.m. Sunday of two adventurous men who had been drinking in Whitefish bars and had attempted to cross the Whitefish River to get home. They went through the ice instead, but were eventually hauled out by the Whitefish Fire Department and taken to North Valley Hospital to be treated for symptoms of hypothermia.

A coffee stand in Evergreen was broken into overnight, but it was unclear if anything was taken.

Management at Village Greens reported Sunday morning that there was a vehicle on the golf course. It was towed away by a wrecker, and about three hours later, a man who lives on nearby Riverside Drive reported that the same vehicle had been stolen.

Saturday afternoon, deputies broke up a dispute between five-month newlyweds at a Mallard Loop residence near Whitefish. Sunday morning, deputies responded to the same address to separate the couple once again.

There was a report of a disturbance between a man and woman at a Dover Drive residence. The man left the scene.

A K2 snowboard was reported stolen from Whitefish Mountain Resort.

Kalispell police secured the Flathead County Library Sunday morning after it was discovered that the back door to the building had been bashed in. It was unclear whether anything had been taken.

There was a report of a fight at a bar on U.S. 2 South early Monday, but when officers arrived, those involved had left. The party at the bar was shut down.

The side window of a vehicle was broken overnight while parked near a bar on First Avenue West.

After a traffic stop on Meridian, a woman, 24, was arrested on a warrant from another jurisdiction.

Whitefish police responding to a fight on Central Avenue early Sunday ended up deploying a Taser on one of the individuals involved. Two men were arrested, ages 21 and 23, for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

A man, 31, was arrested for drunk driving, having no insurance and an expired registration on U.S. 93 South.

A man, 24, was arrested on Central Avenue and Second Street for drunk driving, no insurance and a suspended drivers license.

Columbia Falls police had 18 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Saturday and 3:30 p.m. Sunday, with no significant incidents.
