The Montana Army National Guard has updated the arrival date of the 639th Quartermaster Supply Co. to Thursday in Helena.

Staff Sgt. Jeff Lamoreaux said Tuesday that the soldiers are expected to arrive in Helena on Thursday afternoon, then return to the Flathead Valley by bus, helicopter or with their families.

He estimates that soldiers will arrive in the Flathead at about midnight, just in time to start the new year at home.

The unit has armories in Kalispell, Libby and Havre. Members come from all over the state.

The soldiers have been in Iraq for almost a year.
