Stolen vehicle was started with pliers

Flathead County sheriff

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies received a report of a black Chevy Blazer stolen Monday night from the driveway of a house on Harmony Road. The sport utility vehicle was unlocked and had to be started with pliers.

Employees contacted a woman to let her know that her wallet, stolen from the store bathroom Saturday, had been located Tuesday. Everything was inside, except the money.

A woman contacted authorities to report that she believed her neighbor had stolen her dog and chained it to a tree. Deputies were able to talk to the neighbor, who returned the dog.

A woman allegedly refused to give back some of her boyfriend’s belongings after he was arrested over the weekend on charges of driving under the influence. She is reportedly still in possession of his wallet and car. Both parties were counseled.

A man reported Sunday afternoon that a swastika had been spray-painted on his garage door on Castleview Road.

A resident on Riverside Drive reported that around 1:30 a.m. every night a suspicious vehicle drives by the house, goes to the end of the block, turns around, then drives by again.

Mailboxes were damaged along Lee Road sometime Monday night.

As a deputy approached a car for a traffic stop around noon Tuesday, the driver abruptly bolted from the vehicle parked along Montana 206. He was not apprehended.

Complaining of back pain following an accident on Big Mountain, a skier was transported to North Valley Hospital, then later to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. No word on the extent of the injuries.

Deputies received 132 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Kalispell police

A resident on 10th Avenue West called Kalispell Police to report that a neighbor’s dog reportedly continues to come into the house and has broken their fence. The resident has talked to the neighbor, but says the dog continues to be a nuisance. The dog is a Doberman pinscher and is apparently not vicious. The dog was taken home and parties were counseled.

A suspicious person was reportedly seen at the storage units on Third Avenue East around 8 p.m. Monday, opening and closing doors. Officers responded and noticed a few units open with nothing in them.

Officers received 48 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Monday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish Police arrested a woman, 28, and her domestic partner, 27, following a shoving match between the two inside a home Wisconsin Avenue. Both were arrested on charges of partner or family member assault.

Officers received 31 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls Police arrested a 36-year-old woman on a warrant for repeated minor traffic offenses.

Officers received 11 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Alarms

A man picked up his wife from Kalispell Regional Medical Center Monday afternoon, only to have her pass out in the car due to an unknown medical condition on the way home. An ambulance was dispatched and the woman was taken back to the hospital.

A 70-year-old woman reportedly vomiting blood was transported to North Valley Hospital around 8 p.m. Monday.

One person was transported to KRMC following a single vehicle rollover along U.S. 93 near Point of Rocks Tuesday morning. No word on the extent of the injuries.
