A cross-country skier happened upon the 4-year-old reported missing Saturday afternoon. The child went missing from his Foothills Road home a little after 1 p.m.; Flathead County Search and Rescue and Flathead County sheriff's deputies looked for him. He was found at about 3:30 p.m. near Labrant Road.

A Martin City resident who didn't wish to give his last name reported an attempted break-in that may have taken place several nights ago.

A woman, 29, who routinely disappears has gone missing again.

A transformer exploded in Kalispell, causing a power outage. Flathead Electric Cooperative employees responded.

The co-op also took care of downed power lines in an alley off East Nevada Street and on Haskill Basin Road.

A house window was one casualty in a suspected poaching in Marion. The other was the freshly killed deer hanging in the suspect's garage.

A man, who reportedly had threatened to kill another man, showed up in the guy's driveway on U.S. 2 with a carload of people.

Deputies received 207 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Kalispell police

A woman told Kalispell police that a man followed her home Friday night and asked questions about her neighbor. Then the man began snooping around the neighbor's house.

An Xbox and video games were stolen from a home on Glenwood Drive.

A pocket knife and tool kit valued at $160 went missing from an unlocked vehicle parked on Liberty Street.

Items were reported stolen Friday from a vehicle that had been driven by a man who was arrested the day before on suspicion of DUI.

A caller said his daughter's co-worker at a fast-food restaurant threatened him. The daughter reported the incident to her manager.

A woman called police because her door was slamming open and shut. The officer who investigated found that the wind was the culprit.

When police responded to a fight at a bar on South Main Street, a young man fled the scene. An officer chased him and arrested him on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer and being a minor in possession of alcohol.

A woman who responded to an ad for a dog on an Internet want-ad site agreed to meet the dog's owner in a parking lot. When she arrived, there was no dog - but there was a man in a red pickup who watched her.

Officers received 80 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a man, 28, on suspicion of assault at a downtown bar.

Officers arrested a man, 19, at a ski resort on suspicion of drug possession, possessing drug paraphernalia and for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Police received 30 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

Whitefish Ambulance transported a youth with possible alcohol poisoning to North Valley Hospital.

When fast-food restaurant employees turned on a heater, smoke billowed out. The Kalispell Fire Department responded. The department also responded to a natural-gas odor reported on West Colorado Street.

The initial report said 14 gallons of gasoline spilled at a Columbia Falls filling station. The Columbia Falls Fire Department cleaned up the mess, which was really only about half a gallon.

It was only after putting about 18 gallons of gas into his tank that a driver discovered the leak. Columbia Falls firefighters took care of the spill.

Columbia Falls firefighters also put out a Dumpster fire.

The Creston Fire Department went to a burning shop.
