Robert Neal Stanton, 69

Robert Stanton, 69, of Columbia Falls died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at the Community Hospital in Anaconda.

Robert was born Aug. 23, 1939, to Harold and Isabelle (Martin) Stanton in Waukesha, Wis. The family moved to Montana in 1942 and they settled in Swan Lake. Robert attended first grade there, and he then attended schools in Bigfork and Kalispell, where he finished school.

Robert spent time in the Service and after his discharge, he hit the rodeo circuit, and then ended up working in Glacier Park packing and guiding.

Robert is survived by his wife, Vicki, of Columbia Falls; one son, Rex Stanton, of Sparks, Nev.; two brothers, Eugene Stanton of Kalispell, and Lloyd Stanton of Polson; and one sister, Marion Fairbanks, of Columbia Falls.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Dlorah.

Memorial services will be scheduled later.

Longfellow Finnegan Funeral Home of Anaconda is entrusted with his funeral arrangements.
