Ronan wrestlers keep division title

LIBBY - Ronan held off Polson to claim the Northwestern A divisional wrestling title on Saturday.

The defending champions finished with 192 1/2 points and had seven individual winners - Zach Robinson (105), Dilan Starkel (119), Cameron Neiss (125), Tyson Noyes (130), Mick Cheff (145), Toby Cheff (160) and Marcus Schiele (189).

Polson, runners-up a year ago, had 180 points and third-place Libby 166.

Columbia Falls, 150 1/2, was fourth and Whitefish, 63, fifth.

Polson had three individual winners - Nick Howell (112), Ty Fouty (140) and Brock Picard (171) - as did Columbia Falls - Sal Bacarro (98), Shawn Whitman (135) and Kodie Kenfield (285).

Kyle Sweedman (152) and Justin Graham (215) were Libby's champions.

Alfiero, Robinson, Neiss, Mick Cheff and Picard were defending divisional champions.

Graham, a runner-up last year, won a divisional title in 2007, as did Neiss and Picard.

The top four divisional finishers advance to state, Feb. 13-14 in Billings.
